    YOU MAY BE WONDERING...

EVERY’s egg white protein is nature-equivalent to one of the functional proteins found in hen’s eggs, except it’s made completely animal-free and doesn’t contain any GMOs.

Through brewing. In a breakthrough innovation for the food system, EVERY’s egg white it’s made by yeast rather than hens in a process known as precision fermentation.

Reminiscent of time-honored brewing traditions, this process combines a special yeast—found on a California black oak tree in the 1950s—with sugar and water in a fermentation vessel. But instead of beer, the result is egg white protein.

The yeast is then filtered out, leaving only the egg white protein for harvesting.

Yes, it’s Vegan Society certified. While this protein is nature-equivalent to one found in hen’s eggs, it’s produced using yeast rather than hens, meaning no chickens or other animals are involved in the process.

This is different from lab-grown meats which begin from cells harvested from animals. In this egg white protein, there are no animals involved in the process whatsoever.

    Here are the main reasons:

    1. Neutral taste, great solubility and smooth texture, making it perfect to boost your morning beverage, hot or cold. Totally different from plant proteins with a chalky texture and taste, which don’t mix well in drinks like coffee or matcha.

    2. Easy to digest and metabolize with no bloating. No antinutrients such as lectins, oxalates, phytic acid, saponins, protease inhibitors, and others—which can reduce protein and other nutrient uptake, and be particularly problematic if you’re digestively sensitive.

    3. More sustainable, using far less land and resources (water, feed, and other inputs), and emitting a fraction of the greenhouse gasses compared to traditional egg farming.

    4. No hormones, antibiotics, salmonella or risk of avian diseases*. Made in a completely controlled production environment with every lot third party lab tested to guarantee safety and purity.

    5. More ethically responsible, with no caged hens or questionable free-range/run claims*.

    6. Will one day be cheaper than eggs, with your support! This is not the case now, because production is expensive at a small scale, but the greater the demand, the greater the ability to drive costs down and eventually make a significant contribution to global food security.

*Did you know the world currently produces roughly 1.3 trillion eggs annually from around 6.5 billion laying hens?

The vast majority of these hens are caged in factory farm conditions or “free range” in extremely tight spaces with thousands of other chickens. This is problematic for the environment and for global health, due to increasing risks of animal-borne diseases spreading across the globe.

True, this is not the case with legitimate pasture-raised eggs, which can be a positive for the environment when resources are used regeneratively in a circular system with crops, but unfortunately this is and will continue to be a micro-fraction of world’s egg production.

There are no GMOs or genetic material in this protein. The yeast produces a protein that is nature-equivalent to a protein found in egg whites. While the yeast itself is modified, the final protein product is purified.

Through a quality assurance process, EVERY ensures that no yeast or genetic material is present in the final product. For this reason, this protein is not GMO and does not require a bioengineered or GMO label under US regulatory standards.

EVERY egg white protein is approved and recognized as safe by the FDA. It is, after all, a protein identical to one that most of us already consume.

Yes, because it’s nature-equivalent to an egg white protein found in a hen’s egg. This means that if you’re allergic to eggs, you shouldn't consume these products.
